Border Oak - oak framed houses, oak framed garages and structures.

A beautiful collection of 7 modular sizes - suitable for almost any application. The number of bays is unlimited and additional features such as logstores, stairs, windows and doors can be added. Blind panels, internal divisions and open bays can all be incorporated. Buildings can be joined and used in conjunction with other standard models.

The most cost effective way of achieving a first floor area is to adapt and expand Models 4,5,6 and 7 with a treated softwood attic truss. The truss configuration slightly reduces effective first floor areas, for example, Model 7 would achieve an effective first floor width of 4.7m. To achieve optimum headroom, we would recommend increasing the roof pitch to 47.5 degrees. We would also propose upgrading the roof panel construction to receive insulation systems and internal finishes. Access can be achieved by an internal or external staircase.

The truss system will accept first floor dormer assemblies and 'conservation' roof lights.
